Billings Pilgrim Congregational Church
United Church of Christ

Here at Pilgrim, God Is Still Speaking.

" No matter who you are, Or where you are on life's journey, YOU are welcome HERE."

About Our Services:

We have worship services every Sunday, at 10:00 a.m. We also offer Saturday evening services, the first Saturday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Our services include traditional hymns, as well as contemporary praise songs, and a variety of special music including the choir, junior bell choir, soloists and ensembles. We are also looking at some options with power point for the future.

Other items in our service include: Responsive readings, scripture reading, a sermon, offering with the Doxology, and prayer both the Lord's prayer and silent prayer, and a sung benediction/peaceful parting.

The service is generally an hour in length, but up to an hour and twenty minutes for Sundays that include communion, baptisms or special presentations.

Children:

Here at Pilgrim, children have the choice to worship with their families or go down to Sunday School (Sept-May). During the summer worship, children stay with their families, but have a short message in which they come forward during the service.

Communion:

At Pilgrim we celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of every month. Communion is generally carried out with the deacons passing the elements down the aisles, and waiting until everyone is served, then partaking in the body, and then later the blood of Christ. However, during certain times of the year we serve Communion at the rail, in the front of the church. Members are invited to kneel or stand and receive elements in this manner. Communion is open to all who have received Christ in their heart.

Baptisms:

Baptisms at Pilgrim take place during the worship service with the parents reciting vows, and the Pastor baptising the person in the Trinity from the baptismal font. Baptisms are open to people of all ages.

Accessibility:

At Pilgrim we have a lift that accesses all floors for those who need it, and a ramp from the sanctuary to the restroom/nursery/bible study areas. We also offer hearing devices, just ask a deacon when you arrive.

Membership:

New Member classes are generally offered twice a year in the fall and the spring. If you would like more information on becoming a member please call the Pastor at the church office at: 252-8390.
